About the role
This is an exceptional opportunity to build and lead a world-class engineering capability to deliver something of real impact to our society. The UK is woefully under prepared for retirement and a very large percentage of the population will be forced to accept an income which is far lower than they are used to.

Studies show that this is due in large part to retirement products being perceived as opaque and impossible to understand without costly independent advice. This advice is well out of the range of the average salary.

Wealth Wizards products make this advice accessible to all, and make the range of options more transparent and easy to understand.
Wealth Wizards are building a strong, customer-focussed UX capability to help them better understand customer needs and desires using principles from Lean Startup and Design Thinking.

The CTO will build a stellar engineering capability to allow the product teams to execute at high velocity, designing and running experiments, gaining customer and market insights and iterating more effectively than our competitors.

This is a chance to bring to bear your love of modern technologies, practices and methodologies, to build resilient, high-performance systems along with the ability to implement true continuous delivery, Agile and DevOps.

• Manage technology sourcing in addition to staff, e.g. hosting and related services
• Establish and evidence governance appropriate for our regulated status and that of our customers
• Member of Risk and Compliance Committee with responsibility for Information/Cyber Security
• Plan and implement future growth through an appropriate combination of internal headcount and external partnerships, e.g. nearshoring

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
• Proven leadership skills across three key elements; great talent management, excellent engineering practice and visionary technical architecture
• Evidence of success managing significant organisational change
• Hands-on practitioner able to lead by example across all key engineering disciplines
• Confident and articulate presenting to C-level, including external customers/prospects at major Financial Services companies
• Excellent stakeholder management, driving consensus
• Super-organised with excellent time management
